  18. <p>     Why create a pop duo, sell 38 million albums and then split
  19. up? "It was always the high concept to make it big--and then
  20. leave big," says Andrew Ridgeley, 27, who formed Wham! with
  21. George Michael. When they went their separate ways in 1986,
  22. Michael soared as a solo, but Ridgeley quit the scene
  23. altogether because "it had become more about business and
  24. aggravation than about music." Now the British rocker is back
  25. on his own, with an album out next month. It's titled Son of
  26. Albert, in honor of his dad, who once thought young Andrew
  27. should become an accountant. Go figure.
